Celebrity Hair Crush – Leighton Meester’s Tousled Tresses With Fringe

With Paris Fashion Week in full swing, the we’ve not only seen some great clothes, but a ton of fabulous hair!  But whose hair really caught our eye outside the the Dior Spring 2012 Fashion Show last Friday? None other than America’s favorite Gossip Girl, the lovely Leighton Meester.
We are in love with her soft, tousled waves and easy fringe bangs. This look just exudes a causal yet romantic feel.  To get Leighton’s hairstyle, use a smoothing or volumizing shampoo (depending upon your hair type) and a light conditioner, then prep damp hair with your favorite volumizing mousse or styling foam (we love Aveda’s Phomollient Styling Foam).  Let your hair air dry, separating into finger waves as it dries. If your hair dries super straight, then take a 3/4 to 1 inch curling iron and wrap 1/2 to 1 inch sections of hair around the barrel (try not to be too uniform with your section sizes), working around the entire head.  Loosen those waves with your fingers and use a small amount of texture or styling wax on the ends to achieve the tousled, piecey look. Complete the style with an all-over spray of your favorite holding or finishing spray (nothing too stiff or crunchy) and you will be red carpet ready, just like the lovely Leighton!
