Heidi Klum to Launch Second QVC Jewelry Collection - Fashion News 2011

If you have always admired Heidi Klum’s style, now you have a great chance to borrow a piece of it in terms of fashion accessories, since the supermodel has launched a new jewelry collection for QVC, called Wildlife by Heidi Klum, which is set to debut on September 8, during a Fashion’s Night Out in Manhattan. The ex Victoria’s Secret supermodel is becoming more and more involved in fashion industry lately. After releasing details about her signature Shine fragrance, Heidi is taking hands to jewelry. Take a look at the stunning pieces the supermodel has designed and pick out your favorites.
The collection featured 35 fabulous pieces with prices ranging from $30 to $200. Heidi’s flea market trips served as a great source of inspiration for designing this gorgeous collection. According to the supermodel, jewelry shouldn’t be simple and discreet; instead she brings back costume jewelry and encourages women to wear spectacular accessories: “All of the pieces are statement pieces. The only reason to wear costume jewelry is to wear something large — something you can’t do with real jewelry because it would be too expensive.”
As a result we see eye-catching necklaces, rings and bracelets, all of which are granted with a vintage flair and classically defined shapes. All the pieces are made of antique metals, like silvertone and brasstone, and gemstones such as opal, quartz or hematite. The complete collection will be manufactured by TCJC Inc.
Heidi’s collaboration with QVC isn’t new, as the star worked with the brand still in 2006. However, because of infringement rights accusations, made by Van Cleef & Arpels, she had to quit selling her products in 2009: “We fought with Van Cleef & Arpels for over a year and a half, but we were small fry next to a company like that. But looking back, I’m quite happy to be doing something new. I feel free now with this. I can reach more people with costume jewelry, the prices are great and I can make big pieces. It’s way more fun.”
Despite the unpleasant legal problems, Heidi’s first line of jewelry had quite a great success, and consequently we have high expectations from her Wildfire collection as well.
